PLANT SAFE FOR FROGS???

patrickholmes Mar 12, 2006 11:07 AM

Does anybody know if Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina) is safe for vivarium application with amphibians or other herps? I've read that some Tradescantia produce irritant sap. Thanks.

Im not sure about the wandering jew, but there are plenty of plants that can be put in with your frogs. Check out black jungle for more ideas.

If you are uncertain do not risk it and put it in your tank. I am not sure myself about this species, but if others of the same class produce an irritant its probably not safe. Good luck
