I posted this on the boa forum but I'd like your opinion....

Anya, my 1-year-old red tailed boa, struck the glass last night and injured her mouth. She has tried to correct it herself by yawning and stretching but as of this morning, it doesn't look 100% back to normal. Is there anything I can do for her? Can I try to massage it or something? Should I wait a few days and then take her to the vet if it doesn't correct itself?

I think the advice you got on the boa forum was all solid info. Like they said, check to make sure it isn't stuck on a tooth and also make sure to cover the outside glass for a while to make sure this doesn't happen again (for the time being). If this situation doesn't resolve itself SOON, then bring her to a vet asap. Good luck, Scott.

I wasn't sure I'd get a good response from the boa forum (I've had posts get lost quickly there.) Anya and I both thank you!

The same thing happened to me last week with a baby burm what I noticed was that it was caught on the teeth and I took a pair of tweezers and took the lip off the tooth and applied peroxide so it wouldn't get infected.

with your finger or a pencil or other pointed, but "safe" object.

It isn't "Ideas" that fail or succeed,... it is the "Systems" which are instilled to launch and sustain the idea that either fail or succeed.>[Me.]
