Yeah, I do believe your identification is correct. Adults of that species are seldom mistaken for anything else. A lot of snakes may be mistaken for them, but not vice-versa. Nice pix of a beautiful animal. People who shoot 'em with a camera instead of a firearm are to be commended.

Well we did catch him to show the kids....kind of a what to avoid lesson. I am guessing he was about 2 years old. He had 5 rattles and a button, and seemed to be in good health.
