Bimini Boa (pic)

Back when I hung out with a guy who would impulse buy boas and then dump them to make room for his next ones, I got some young Bimini Boas from him--my first exposure to the species. They were beautiful little things--highly iridescent, jet black, flecked with silver scales, and sweet-tempered. That was a long time ago, and years later, I find that very few bbreeders work with Biminis. One is Jim Kavney at Hiss-N-Things, and he bred this one in 1999. She's about 5 plus feet now, and I just love her. She's more brown than the ones I had long ago, but I hope to get her a mate one day, and start a rennaisance of island Epicrates.
