Horse trough/Stock Tanks?

Will A. Mar 12, 2006 07:34 PM

Can anyone direct me to a website where Rubbermaid stock tanks or similar things are sold. I'm going to need to house some things temporarily soon and I'm looking for some ideas. Thanks...

if you have any farm stores near you they will probably sell them as well.

Hi Will,

Check out:

These Tuff Stuff tubs are great for tortoises and found at almost any feed store or special ordered through a feed store. I like them over rubbermaid because the RM's lose some bottom space due to the identations on the sides of the tubs.

Will, I'm looking into these. I plan on making a rack system that will hold 4 of the smaller ones and 3 of the larger ones.

They are manufactured to last a lifetime and are of a very thick gauge plastic.

The shipping is a consideration but if you are not in a hurry and you order more than one it is not as much as you would think. There also might be a distributer in the NE.

if you're looking to house terrestrials, then you might look into the galvanized sheep tanks (approx. 6'x 2'x 1'). they are quite a bit cheaper than the rubbermaid plastics. i've had four of them for almost ten years and they are still in great shape. i use them indoor and out for russian torts.
