Suriname with RI

Have a 5Lb Suriname with RI I can not figure out the proper dosage I have 10% Baytril Help

A 10% Baytril concentration would be equivalent to 100 mg per cc. Baytril is dosed at 5 mg per kg at 48 hour intervals. This would give the proper dosage of each injection for a 5 lb snake at 11 mg. That would be 0.11 cc. of your 10% solution. That gives you a pretty small volume to work with. You will definitely need no larger than a 1 cc syringe to be able to accurately measure that small of a volume. Let us know how it goes.

I didn't know Inj. Baytril came in anything other than 50mg/ml.

Ian,
There is a vet injectable solution of 22.7 mg/ml. And then there are also available livestock injectable solutions at 25mg/ml, 50 mg/ml, and 100mg/ml. I can't see having much need for the 100 mg in the herp area unless you are dealing with some really large boids.
