I am going to have one more Captive Bred Eastern later this week. I can't wait! I opted for the female baby that is from different parents. I do not intend to breed them, but won't it be nice to have a pair of Captive Bred Eastern babies!! I just hope that I am up to the task of raising them and wish I could find a girlfriend that was as much into Easstern Box Turtles as I am. Any takers? Just kidding I AM a nice guy though!!

I am all for captive breeding, and by the time your turtles are old enough to breed you may change you mind. Congrats on your new pets, I hope they become life long friends.

Congratulations! I agree captive bred is way better than taking lots of adults out of the wild. Get some pictures, we need to see lots of pictures of new babies.

As for finding a human mate...well lol good luck on that.
I have one who wasn't an "animal person" in the beginning but this one learned how to be one. This one is almost as proud of Chip the broken box as I am.

Friday night I went to the pet store to get some crickets when I noticed a couple looking at the rodents, I felt sorry for the guy trying to talk the girlfriend or wife into letting him have one. I heard him say "but that one doesn't have the long tail."
She wouldn't budge, I thought to myself there's a match not made in Heaven so dump her & look for one who loves them too. lol

Long tails.. fancy rats, geeze what is there about a beautiful RAT that could possibly turn a person off? ::::evil grin::::
