Hi all, I got my very first GBK a few months ago from a friend who breeds them... I've been nosing around the gallery and don't see any with markings quite like his. I thought I'd post a pic to see what your comments are. He's almost 2 yrs old and is a beast of an eater. He's been shedding every 2-3 weeks for me, and when my friend was by the other day, she said she was pleased with his growth... I guess she taught me well

Thanks in advance for any and all comments,

Christina

Very nice. Does your friend have any background locality on the snake? Who is your friend you got the snake from? Anyone in Texas? I have seen a few with patterns similar to this produced by breeders here in Texas. Nice snake.

Thanks!!! I guess technically they were bred by my vet, Dr Bryan Wayne here in Iowa. My friend Ali works with him and and raises clutches for him. I'll have to ask them where the foundation of their bloodlines come from.

Arvid is so wonderful! Unlike the ball python I owned years ago, he is a great and predictable eater. He will hide until he's hungry, then he'll pop out and pace until I pitch him his FT mice. He's taken fuzzies, but I still can't imagine how he eats them... so I still baby him and feed him 3 or 4 pinkies at a time. Aside from the fact that I'm spending more money on them versus buying fewer fuzzies, there's no negative impact on him continuing to eat pinkies, right?

Not at all. You can feed the snake more pinks VS. one or two fuzzies. It's easier for the snake to get them down, however, you obviously should feed the snake more pinks to make up for the mass of the fuzzy.
