WEEK IN REVIEW (one of the best yet)

carl3 Mar 12, 2006 10:43 PM

WELCOME TO THE 6th EDITION OF THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Welcome to another WEEK IN REVIEW!
Sorry so late…my 11 month old baby was very sick this weekend with a nasty GI virus, which my wife now has…and I’ll probably soon get. Anyway, I spent all of Friday evening in an ER with my baby (she’s fine now). Also, I finally got rid of dial-up this weekend. Hi-speed DSL is amazing. In-between our baby’s naps, I think my wife and I surfed the entire world wide web. Seriously…we finished…we’re done. lol. I also got a new digital camera this past week BUT it arrived broken so I’m awaiting a replacement.

On a more positive note, this WIR is loaded with amazing one-of-a-kind pics. It’s a MUST SEE. Many of the pics are buried in replies within various threads so I’m sure you missed a few. So sit back, kick your feet up, pop open a cold beverage and wait patiently for the pics to load!

FINAL THOUGHTS:
It’s been very hectic around here for A LOT of people lately. The proof is in the 6 plus pages of boa classifieds. I guess people are trying to move boas out before their 06 babies come in. Anyway, I’ve been super busy too and haven’t put 100% into the WIR. However, I’m a teacher and summer is around the corner. I’d like to eventually separate pics into two categories: morphs and locales, simply for better comparison within each category (not to spark any controversy). However, I just don’t have time now to do it.

On another note…Get your kids started young! Mike_panic’s thread was awesome….especially since I have a daughter too. However, mine is still a baby so she’s a little too young to be in the snake room just yet BUT someday soon! (I didn’t want to repost Mike’s pics since I’m not sure if its appropriate…but he obviously has a nice herp room (even if the walls haven’t been painted yet.lol.j/k)

To all fellow boa keepers/breeders, keep up the hard work!

darn i was hoping to make the WIR this week. I made it with a sound clip but got no credit for it and I was really hoping my hypo would make the pictures. I will just try harder this week. But over all very good week in review. Keep it up, I enjoy seeing it every week and I thinks its a challenge to make it in it.

I apologize for not giving you credit for the sound clip. It was hilarious. I was laughing out loud and got yelled at by my wife for making too much noise (I wasn't really too loud but she's not feeling well and you know how that goes)

I think this was the fastest I put the WIR together EVER.lol. I'm sure I missed quite a few pics and/or threads/replies....and if so, I feel bad about it...I try to get as many pics as possible in there but I also try to think about the 56k'ers who have dial-up. For them, opening the WIR must take forever. I usually just start at the last WIR thread and work my way backwards. Unfortunately, when I start getting tired, I start leaving more and more out of it.lol. I also try to leave out any poor quality pics...which leads to a problem since a 'poor quality pic' on my pc may be clear and better in quality on someone else's pc. Anyway...don't feel too bad, I bet your hypo will make it someday soon...but if not, just think...none of my pics have ever made the WIR.lol

Thanks for the kind words and I wouldnt have minded if you reposted the pics. Its funny you say that about the room not being painted. Its going on five years now and I cant get my lazy cloaca motivated to do it. Now that I have no colubrids in the room(like 200 or so)I can go ahead and take care of the dirty work. I just ordered 16 more 421D's from Boaphile so I figured I have about 2 months(yeah, you cant go by his claim at 5 weeks, but its worth the wait)to get it painted. It was just funny you said it like that though, I got a chuckle out of it. Thanks and great job on the week in review. Mike Panichi
