worm with plants and crested gecko?

Is it okay to put a worm in a terrarium with a crested gecko? I'm not worried about the gecko eating the worm, I just want to help the increase the soils bioactivity. Let me know if it is okay to do this and if so, what kind of worms would work.

My tanks 12*30*12.
