Intresting question for this forum ??

I was at Home Depot and saw these electric bug repelents .But it says that it doesnt harm dogs , birds , or even fish . So my question is . Do snakes get bothered by "ULTRASONIC WAVES" .. HERES ALL IT SAYS IN THE DESCRIPTION.:::::

Black & Decker EX900-A-TP1 Ultrasonic Pest Repeller. Drives out mice, cockroaches, spiders and other pests. Extra large room coverage. Variable settings. No poisin. No chemicals. No traps. Can be used around dogs, cats, birds and fish. Generates powerful ultrasonic signals that repel pests from your home or office. Can plug into the wall or use batteries.

I was wondering because maybe this would be a great way to keep unwanted pests out of your animals quarters. For example here in Florida we have a huge problem with spiders and ants. And maybe this could be a good cure for "mites" ??

I would think that ultra-sonic would mean sound or vibrations...and snakes are very sensitive to vibrations of any kind....I would think it would just make them nervous...but I would say don't try it. Just my 2 cents....Andy

The one product similar to that, that I looked at mentioned snakes as one of the animals it will drive away. So yeah, more then likely it would irritate/stress the snakes.

Save your money.....hubby and I had ALOT of birds once and they attracted mice BAD....we bought a mulitpack of those things and it never phased the mice. I still had to put out poison to get rid of them,,,,and sold all the birds. The mice were attracted to the seed and would squeeze thru the bars of the cages to get to the seed. It was very scary here for a while.
