pueblan EMERGENCY!!!

jadrig Mar 13, 2006 03:36 PM

hey i have a trio of apricot pueblans and one baby. yesterday after i got done moving all my animals into my house i was in a hurry to get to work and i forgot to put the weights on all my snake cages. i found my big female but my 3ft female has been gone since around 5 oclock sunday. my roommate has a chihuahua but hes atleast 6 lbs so, im more worried about my snake. im in southern nc and its been 85 for the past two days. its supposed to get cool the next couple nights so i was curious how i should go about this. would she seek a cooler(below 80) spot during the day or will she stay around warmer temps? theres a fire place and floor vents, shes a fast mover and she likes to climb, so i think she could ve gotten out of the house. i was warming her up and i was gonna feed her after work cuz i was gonna breed her this season and kept her cool. i know shes hungry. anyone with any experience with adult milk escapees???

i alwys use masking tape sticky side up at all door jambs and cover the heat vents you can also sprinkle flour around the room to get an idea of where she might be. the masking tape is better than duct tape cuz it is easier to get the snakes off of.

In my experience, you just have to get lucky. You can search the house all day and night and never find it. I have about a little better than 50% success rate in finding lost snakes.

The best tip I can give is to walk around at night with a flash light. Each time I was lucky enough to find them was at night when they were out moving around.

Good luck.
