Maintaining mealies for an extended time

How do you maintain your mealies for an extended period? Do you raise your own or buy them and refrigerate them to keep them longer, rather than allowing them to pupate to beetles.

how many geckos do you have? It depends on your preference.... I tried breeding meal worms plenty of times but I get impatient they just didnt produce often enough and grow fast enough for all my pets..for me its just easier to buy them..their relatively cheap from bugco... I order mealies with my crickets now and then ..I let them turn to beetles for my bearded dragon can eat them lol...The refrigerator is the only way i know of to preserve them.

I have a small breeding project to feed my 3 leos and 1 aft. You definetly need a LOT of patience. It's a pain to replace carrots/potatos every few days. I'm trying gel water crystals for now...

I'm hoping my patience will pay off though. I don't want to pay for feeders any more.
