These are my all-time favourite BTS. Even their latin name is neat. So gorgeously stumpy, it's a job to tell which end is which! Recently watched a doco (made for Aussie school children) on shinglebacks which had a close-up sequence of a female giving birth in the wild. Cool.
Glad to hear there are other Stumpy enthusiasts out there!

I've never seen Shinglebacks that look like that before. I've only seen the ones that are solid black. I'm glad I got to see such nice skinks.

i am usually attracted to bright colors and pretty paterns but for some reason i am partial to the black shinglebacks
