Getting tired of Okeetee pics yet?

azsuboc Mar 14, 2006 07:36 AM

This is the last of em, I promise. I just like showing off some of the snakes from time to time. I went to a friends to sex his reverse Okeetees last summer, well, and get some for myself. Out of about 20 animals these were 2 of the only 3 females, hows that for a bad sex ratio. I like the first one and my wife prefers the second. Of course we wouldn't agree on wich one is the best.

Nice snake. As for ratio, I know this guy, 2 years ago I think, his hognose had 8 eggs. ALL, males. Probability is 1 in 256 for that one. I desire has some factor in the sex ratio? I use to breed a lot of rats. When I had a special project like hairless or a selective leusistic, the babies always seem to be male, or most. Go figure?

And why stop posting pictures?

I love abberant patterns, but I am going to have to say the traditional first one looks better. I might change my mind as they get to be adults, though.
