Killer Bee Questions...

cheeeezzz Mar 14, 2006 05:10 PM

#1 Who is making them??

#2 How much are people asking for them?

#3 What does the clutch look like when bred back to a normal?

I could probably answer all these questions my self if I did some reading, but I figured some others might be interested as well. Thanks.

1- anyone that has a bumble bee , you can for sure expect them to be breeding for killer bee.

2- The price range for teh killer bee is $35,000- $45,000

3- IF you breed a killer bee to a normal you will get ( normals, pastels, spiders, bumble bees) not necessary all in teh same clutch, but the genes are there to make them with just breeding killer bee to a normal. Now if you want a killer bee, you must have the pastel gene in both parents so it can pass on the super pastel gene to the offspring. So you can have the fallowing and be able to produce another killer bee.
Killer bee X pastel
KIller bee X bumble bee
KIller bee X super pastel
Bumble bee X pastel
bumble bee X super pastel

You won't get normals. The killer Bee is a super pastel spider so there should be no normals because super anything to normal = 100% hets or in this case all pastels some of wich will also be spiders aka bumble bees.

at the time of writing i was thinking about bumble bees. But no normals with Killer Bee X Normal.

YEah, if you get normals out of your clutch from a killer bee, you better ask NERD for your money back...not that anybody would mistake a killer bee for a bumblebee, they look pretty different

when life hands you lemons, make super lemons, bumblebees, etc...

Cool, thanks for the info. All I have so far is a pastel so it'll be a few years before I see any killer bees poking their heads out of the egg. Some day..... hahaha

Killer Bee X normal = Pastels and Bunble Bees no normals or Spiders.

Like my earlier thread. I was thinking about the bumble bee, and not the killer bee. My mistake
