she finally ate!

sleepofapples Mar 14, 2006 08:37 PM

i posted a while back about my girl that wasnt eating...ive been putting her in a ten gallon every other day with food and leaving her for about half an hour to 45 minutes.. if i tried to put the food in the enclosure with her, she just turned around and buried herself.. well, today i put her in her "feeding tanK" with about 10 big fat earthworms, and left to go to walmart.. she was in there for about an hour and 15 and when i came back, all the worms were gone! im so thrilled.. ive been incredibly worried about her not eating... now i can breathe a sigh of relief.. just had to share my excitement..

GREAT! She probably needed the privacy to eat. Try covering the tank with paper. Now that you know she will not die from starvation, put just one worm in the next time you feed her and also some chopped, over ripe fruit like strawberry, cantaloupe, grapes and apple. You don't want to create a picky eater
