Almost halfway there...

Over 3 weeks now, some dimpling but not abnormal for these guys. Nice veins from day one, snakes are becoming visible when briefly candled. Gotta love Sand Pythons!

Is that correct? Do you keep the cotton dry? The vermiculite looks soaking wet. Please elaborate. Thanks.

Actually it is polyester batting (used in stuffiing pillows etc)the vermiculite is moistened by weight just as you would for placing eggs directly into it. The challenge with Womas is to keep a high ambient humidity without letting the eggs get too wet from direct contact with the moisture. This package then goes into the incubator which is kept at 95% humidity inside through use of a resevoir.

do YOU put the eggs in the container with polyester then cover it and then place it inside the vermiculite? or do you leave it uncovered inside the vermiculite?
Do you put a lid over the vermiculite container?

Thanks
