Kerby,

I got them from Don SHores a couple years ago. They are '04's.

Here is the history on the choclates that I posted on the forums in '05:

Chocolate Bannanas
Don bred a bannana cal king he got from John Ruiz to a female DH for snow he got from Mark bell. The first yr he produced a Chocolate Bannana. In the second yr he bred the choc male to a albino bannana female and produced 3 chocolate bannanas and 3 Bannana DHs. Last yr he produced 4.8 chocolates and 5 normal bananas.

I got my male Chocolate Banana from Don Shores in 2003 as well as a female (sibling) Banana from the same clutch. I got my female Chocolate Banana in 2004 from Don Shores as well. Last year I bred the 2003 female Banana to a double het (albino & Mendota/hypermelanistic) and produced some albinos, so I know my Banana female is het for albinism.

The problem is with the term "snow" in this case. I am assuming Don Shores is referring to a Blizzard. So the Chocolate Bananas are a product of a Blizzard (that is where the chocolate color is coming from) and are all possible hets for albinism.

*Breed a Blizzard to any cal king and see how chocolate the babies come out*

I will be breeding my Chocolate Bananas (possible het albinos) to each other this year as well as the male Chocolate Banana to his sibling Banana (het albino).

Yours are just bigger than mine LOL
