I've got a snake that might have been a WC. Should I worm her or anything? What do you do to your new ones? And I've been reading the other post know about the neww flavor, so don't need sugestion on them

Why do you think it is wc? You should always quarantine newly aquired animals for about 90 days. If you have any health concerns you should take your animal to the vet. Be sure to bring a stool (poop) to be examined for internal parasites. I had one snake with worms from a dealer in Nashua NH and the vet treated him on the spot after the fecal exam, and he had me come back for the second and final treatment. It would be a waste of money to treat your snake for worms if no worms are present, unless you happen to have some flagyl laying around. Hope this helps. -Joe Decareau

I got her at a reptile show from a guy for $50. A ball breeder took a look at her later and said she was a bit thin and with that price he figures wild caught. The guy who had her said she'd eat live, but that he couldn't get her to switch to frozen thawed and since she'd not eaten in 3 months he was getting rid of her. I've had her for over a month and don't handle her except for the day I put her in and the dayy to treat for mites. I've never seen her show a interest in live and she is a bit boney. I'd heard somewhere that parasites could also make them not eat, and since she's not giving me a poop sample to test. I was wondering if I needed to see about worming or anything? Other wise I figure trying a few more things and maybe gerbils in a month or so if she looks worse.

if you are concerned about getting your snake to eat, i heard of something on here a couple months ago.

i am not 100 % certain i am remembering it right, but this guy made a slurry from either condensed milk, or formula and wet dog food, he force fed it to the snake a couple times, and it started eating on its own

do not rely on this, but if the person that posted this suggestion would be so kind as to repost his recipe it might be useful for you.

unless he posts, dont follow this idea, it isnt worth the risk.

Don't worry. I wouldn't be comfortable trying that without alot more info. No offense just cautious.

give it a couple weeks to a month before you try feeding it. Make sure its got a hide box and plenty of water. Id try mice first, AT NIGHT and see what happens.

If you live in florida get some African Rats! haha(best thing I have found for non-eaters)

Okay. People I'd been talking to had said giver her a week to settle and ofer food once a week, but don't mess with her otherwise. I do feed everyone at night anyway. Bit noctunal myself.
