Do any of you get many (or any) successful honduran breedings after the first post-brumation shed? My big pair of dbl het for ghost tricolors just went through their first shed-I put them together and the male is showing LOTS of interest lol....

Thanks!

About half of my Hondurans breed after the first shed. I think it depends a lot on size, age and prior breeding schedule. It seems my first timers are not ready until after their second sheds, while proven adults breed earlier for me.

Thanks John! This is a big, proven breeder pair I picked up last year-and yes, they certainly seem serious about things!

I tried my pair early this week; first shed after brumination. Female is four, proven; male is two, virgin. Some interest, but no spark. Maybe some time apart and a bunch of rats respectively will help.
