northern blue tongue dry stomach

my blue tongues stomach is very dry. its like flaky. anyone can help with this?

Is it always like this or just recently started? Sounds like he is just shedding, though his stomach shouldn't always look like it's shedding, unless very young and growing fast. Do you have a water dish big enough for your skink to soak in? Other information about your setup and skink would be beneficial, things like cage size, lighting, heating, contents (besides the skink of course), age of the skink, how long you had it etc.

he is in a mansion. a vision cage 72 x 28 x 18 high. i have a large water dish. the dryness is new and i guess your right its probably shedding. i have uva/uvb lighting. its about three years old.
