Leopard Substrate...

xDeadVeggiex Mar 15, 2006 04:57 PM

Just need to know what substrate you guys are using I got a new baby leopard and I'm pretty sure his whole setup is good but I'm not sure about the substrate. Right now I'm using rabbit food as substrate. What would you guys recommend for a 2" long leopard tort?

As i stated earlier to your post, i like hay (timothy, bermuda, orchard), with a humid hide in it.

Can I get hay all year round?

Unless you live in the "city" most feed stores stock hay. It is what livestock eats in the winter. Try the store chain Southern States if they are near you.

They all sell timothy hay for heavens sake. Rabbits eat it, guinea pigs eat it.......tortoises eat it......Research makes a happy tortoise. DO NOT GET ALFALFA.
