Pure Iquitos " outside. "

madisonrecords Mar 15, 2006 05:05 PM

We are really glad to have these Pure Iquitos Peruvians. We sold most of ours to Mark Damico back in 1999 and he has been extremely successful with them, but we have been on the lookout, to find some that are comparible and we feel that we finally did! These " like the ones we had years ago, " came from the Iquitos farm and were hand selected by Mike Eckert and were then sold to our good friend Brian Sharp. After long pleads with Brian, he finally gave in and sold them to us and we could not be more happy! It has been our goal, to accumulate exact Locality Boas " no matter what they look like " and work with them and perserve the uniquness of each Locality in hopefull future breedings. We now have Iquitos and Pucallpa Peruvians, Essiquibo Guyanas from the North and South, Southern Surinames and Caponi French Guianas " wich are due next Month! " Good Luck to all this year!......Johnson Herp

Oh ya, he is blue. I will try to get a better photo of him, but he did not want to coaporate today. He is a Southern Suriname and you have heard of the rare Blue Boas, well he is the real deal and hard to capture in a picture, but I will try to do better. Not deep purple or purplish grey or blue grey, he is BLUE. Enjoy ......Johnson Herp

That's a real beauty. There haven't been many breeders producing top notch BCC in the last couple of years - only a handful. From the looks of some of your animals, you will be joining that small "club" very shortly. Congrats on the many BCC's you've aquired. I know the really nice ones are hard to come by and usually take years of searching to find. Hundreds of BCC's out there but only a very select few that I would consider to be nice. Best of luck.----RON

we definately all have our own tastes in Boas and maybe it is not a right or wrong thing, but just personnal choice. It has always been important to me, to concentrate on exact locality Boas and I have been lucky to have data on most of my stock. I do seem to find beauty in certain Boas, that most would not find attractive, but my tastes are not completely primitive. I have seen some really nice stuff that you have posted also and may we continue to enjoy what we like on a personnal basis..........Johnson Herp
