There is no blood and he is acting normal, eating drinking ext.I am constructing a new cage so I will be not be using screen. Hi!

My male jacksons lost two toenails (from climbing on aluminum screen) about three months ago, with him there was also no bleeding or swelling.
To be on the save side I soaked his feet in diluted iodine and put silversulfadene cream on it for a few weeks.
It never seemed to bother him much and he's doing fine.

cheers,
Suzanne

A dab of Polysporin on the toe tip will help prevent infection. If the toe starts to swell or get stiff and hard, you may need a vet to prescribe a systemic antibiotic.
