Black Milksnake breeding Question

KingE Mar 16, 2006 01:49 PM

HI Everyone, I havebred mountain kings many times before, btu this is my first time breeding my adult pair of black milks. I have brough them out of brumation, and the female just took food yesterday. Do you normall yintrouce pairs after her first shed upon removal from brumation or do you put them together even sooner? Any help or suggestions or experience with these would help. Let me know and thanks in advance'

Hey Eric-
I recently posed the same question (re: Hondos). I was used to Cal Kings, which I my experience breed like rabbits right out of brumination. The general view on Hondos (and presumably all "tropical" milks) is that after second shed is more productive. No harm in introducing earlier though...Good luck!

mine usually breed after the female's second shed, but it doesn't hurt to try after her first shed to see what happens. Good luck.
