Lately it seems like pattern is winning out over color, which is too bad...I love pattern too..but, I'm a color freak.

She is being courted like mad, but so far no ovulation...so long as the male has interest, he will remain with her. Maybe, eventually, I will get lucky.

Probably one of the best pics I've ever taken in terms of lighting and capturing true color. Most DEFINITELY the best animal I have (Guyana BCC)

I tried to breed her last season and ended up w/ about 25 slugs. She threw the slugs in like... August I think and I didn't have enough time to get weight back on her so she's just chillin this year and I'm going to try her again next year.
As for the male you asked about no new pics at this time, but one of these days I'll get around to taking more pics. I picked that guy up from Pete @ Incredible Pets. A few of the advantages to living in Central Florida are MASSIVE daily thunderstorms, hurricanes, and getting to hand pick boas

Ya, I did and I intended to E-mail you back and lost it. I was going to tell you that, I am not in a position for anymore Boas and that your description of your Boas behaviors, were perfectly normal for some W.C. Boas. If you have had her that long, just let her be what she wants to be and also realize, that W.C. adults will never get the massive weight on them that a captive raised adult will and that is a good thing and why they live longer typically. Not to sound arrogant, but I probably have better luck with acclimating W.C. Boas than most and I would strongly recommend that you hold on to her and allow her to have her own personnality and feeding behaviors. Chances are, she has been that way all of her life and she will be just fine.......Johnson Herp
