Argus skin problem

hbailey Mar 16, 2006 07:13 PM

I just rescued a small, appears to be female argus. She looks like she's got many layers of problem sheds going down her back and some areas seem to be oozing. I'm going to take her to the vet, but would like to know what I can do in the meantime to help her along. She's pretty aggressive, but still has a typical argus feed response. I have her in quarentine at the moment. I can't find my camera, or I'd post a pic.

^^^ Fixed it for you

In my experience you usually have time with monitors, if she is going to the vet soon (like tomorrow, weekend), might as well just let her be till then. If something is so bad that it needs treatment right away (hours), it's usually beyond even a vets help.

Good Luck, personally I think argus females are downright nice, good feeding response countered with a bit of common sense. Comparitively the males are just nutcases.

Good Luck,
