Well...

I orignally had a vet appointment scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today, but when I went to check on Cobalt, all the blood was gone! He's perfectly fine now, can see just fine, and trust me- he eats MORE that fine!

Yep, I chatted with the vet over the phone and he said Cobalt would be fine and an appointment really wouldn't be necessary. So- He's back up and running again, thanks for the help everyone!

Kevin,

Heck yes I was flippin' out! lol, When I talked to the vet over the phone he gave several reasons why this could have happened:

1.) Straining or rubbing of the eye may have caused an injury.
2.) A twig or some sort of object may have punctured the exterior of his eyeball (although the injury looked as if it was on the interior.)
3.) Occasionally, small blood vessels just pop, like in human eyes. He said as long as it wasn't a major vein, Cobalt's vision would be fine and it is! Thanks,

Michele

I didn't respond the other day because I was afraid I would be wrong. I had something like that happen with my eye. It looked horrible and I was afraid I would be blind in that eye but it cleared up in a couple of days. The doctor told me it was just a broken blood vessel. I'm so glad Cobalt is going to be okay. Valerie.

Wow Michele... I'm SO glad after your last comment in that other thread! You put some pressure on me. I'm already freaking out over here with my own reptiles!
