I just want to make a few things clear. I do collect alot of animals but i do not keep everything. When i collect i keep anoles, cornsnakes, bluegarters, Florida kings, scarlet kings, and anything exotic. My dad is a field associate for the California Academy of Science, and part of what he does is collect specific species for whatever study they are doing. While i am out collecting animals if I happen to catch anything he needs for study i give it to him. Its not like i go and take every single thing i catch. I have a great respect for our populations of reptiles and amphibians in Florida. Do any of you other collectors keep anything that you catch or did you ever. I'm still young collectings fun and extremely educational. I just thought i would post that first message i got so many responses to because i have been very successful collecting, and there are people on here all of the time wanting localities for different animals, or areas where there is a large variety of herp. I've got a lot of places to hunt all over the state and i have no problem telling where they are to the right people. Nathan
