OT.. Sad morning

FEENIEE Mar 17, 2006 08:27 AM

O.k. so I got up early this morning like 3a.m. and was getting ready for work. I noticed my little Igaro was not singing to me as he does most mornings. I went to go check on him and found him in his forever sleep on his log I miss him already........Dang I wish these little guys lived forever!!

Thanks Lele. I'm not sure how long they live. I've had him for two years. I didn't even know what kind of Frog he was.. He was a "bonus" prize in some live moss that I had bought. Most mornings he would start "clicking" around 3:30 and go on and on until about 5a.m. I would turn on his lights to check on him and he would be sitting on his log, with his big ol' eyes open! LOL, as soon as I turned his lights off, he was clicking again! Funny story, when I was out of town for two weeks my boyfriend would forget to turn off his light, so he would sleep all night! When I got home I couldn't figure out why he was singing at 4 o'clock in the afternoon! LOL, took him a while to get his biological clock in order again...

cute story

That is neat that he was hiding in some moss! He was lucky to have gone home with you, and that you found and cared for him for his two years - who knows what his fate may have been otherwise - he was a lucky little guy

I'm really sorry for you. I know how it feel to lose a pet. I am sure he is in a happy place where froggies go. He was really cute. I bet he misses you too.

Today was a real bummer. I miss the little guy Here are some pics I took of him over time. I think I have more of him then any do any other pet.. He wasn't shy at night!
The last pic makes me sad and laugh at the same time. It looks like he's flipping the "bird" with his back toes. He's my hero. I call it "Igaro Has Left the building".
