No word from Dawn for a while, I guess the Nelsoni dropped a bucket and she's fluttering around the nest (first time Mom).
Hey Dawn, we're here for you-give us an update! Jeff

Hey Guys, I am on this forum every day..just dont always have something to say!

I took Rosie in to the vet this morning and after the vet did an exam , She ( the vet)said it certianly felt and looked like there were eggs there but lets get an xray. We get to the xray and guess what, No eggs. I guess the follicles didnt get fertalized when she copultaed. Her ovulation fatty deposits are so hearty that they lumped her out like eggs. I dont feel too stupid since the reptile vet thought she was gravid as well but I am happy to know she is okay.

My Cal king will drop her eggs next week sometime, so keep check on the kings forum and I will post the pics when she does.

I am really glad the vet didn't want to slice her open and "save" her. She may keep those lumps for quite a while but like the other post above said reintroduce her for sure. You would need to be doing something different to get cal king eggs after or at the same time as milk snake eggs. Simply put, milks will almost always be later than kings kept in the same conditions. It can be very frustrating when you don't expect it and you already have eggs out of some snakes but your milks have not bred. It is pretty normal though.

Good Luck

Jason
