Hi everyone. Another question for the experts. If you plan on breeding a pair of snakes in the future, that are not old enough this coming season, do you still hibernate them over the winter? Thanks, in advance for the help.

There is no reason to hibernate Gray Bands if you do not intend to breed them. If they go off feed in the fall or are hatchlings that are tough feeders then you may choose to hibernate. But, for a sub adult eating well the winter is a great time to add size and prepare them for the next breeding season. Hope this helps! ~ Mike

Thanks Mike. It definately helps. I know winter is a long way off, but I like having my ducks in a row ( I have a touch of O.C.D.)By the way thats a nice alterna phase in your picture.
