some BCC's

Trueredtails Mar 17, 2006 05:49 PM

they are taking a few hour break from the breeding. The male has been at the striped one non stop for the last month or so and has no intrest in the other girl. This is the second time group breeding the first time I had a huge cage with 2.4 BCI's and 3 of them became gravid but only 2 gave me a live litter and the other one had slugs. Im thinking I may pull the other female out as he is not interested in her and she may be distracting him from the other female. What do you guys think?

if that pair produces, I predict they will be the most interesting BCC's of 2006. Good luck. As far as the other female, if he is spending a lot of time and energy going after her and she is moving away, then maybe you should remove her. If not, I would leave her in. Maybe there is some competition among females as well as males and one female may be more likely to ovulate in the presence of another. Who knows.
