Rest for breeder males???

How long do you guys give your males to rest inbetween breedings. Ive been doing three days. Is this ok, too long, not long enough? Thanks in advance.

I did three days in three days out (or more if they ate while they were out). Seemed to work fine. Some people have said they do a week in and a week out too.
