I had a pair of fwc's a few years ago, and the female was much more yellow than the male. I'm not saying it was a sex-related thing, just that there is a lot of variability within the species. Someone in the classifieds currently has some hypomelanistics if you haven't seen them yet. Neat animals.

Interesting...because as hatchlings (at least all that I've seen) the male is much lighter colored than the female, who is darker. A pretty accurate way of sexing them actually from what I've seen...my pair follows this trend as well.
The guy in the classifieds thinks that these are another line of hypo. I just think they are hi yellow. Anyways they are the nicest I've ever seen. The breeder male is a killer looking animal and could pass for a pastel or hypo but I'm not getting into morphs. Mom was a normal darker colored animal. Here are the babies....they were sold.
