How do these look?

lbrat Mar 18, 2006 09:29 AM

I made these new enclosures from plywood drops from where I work.As more drops become available to me,I'm going to keep stacking them.

Pretty nice! What kind of animals do you keep in your cages? Derek

I put my leucistic black rats in the two larger ones(24Lx16Wx9H) and will probably put my female trans pecos in the top one.(20LX16WX9H)
Slowly trying to phase out those old school fish tanks.
Will eventually have them made for my corns, trans pecos, and ball pythons.

I am doing the same thing. As my baby snakes get bigger, I make a new cage for each one. I keep kings and milks and a pair of hog island boas. Great herpers think alike. Derek

how did you do the sliding glass doors ? Is the track they're on prefab from someplace ? They look great.

lbrat Mar 19, 2006 05:16 PM

No,I made 1/4" deep saw cuts with a table saw for the plexi to slide in.If I had to do it again,I would spring for the track. Also I would go with heavier plexi(thicker).I just used what I had on hand.I only have the price of paint into these.
The next time I will probably go with a hinged door system.
