Temperature question

leapfrog5225 Mar 18, 2006 12:56 PM

I recently purchased an adult pair of leopard geckos,
I set up their tank very simply, with several hides, a calcium dish, water, ect. I was just curious about temperatures. I put a heating pad under one side of the tank, and the temperature above the pad is a constant 95(F) degrees. Is this too hot? The other areas in the tank range from 75-85 (F) degrees.

Thank you

95 is a little high. I like the 88-92 range. You can do this by adding a little sand under the tiles or just get a new heat pad.
