Reliable lamps?

I am wondering what brands make a reliable 8" reflector dome. I purchased several "Flukers" domes and now several months later the dome and outlet split causing connection problems.

What are you putting in the lamp socket? Must be very hot. Is it a ceramic socket on that dome?

They come apart from general handling. This has happened in both my lamps, I just believe they aren't constructed particularly well.
