It hasn't eaten in five days and its eyes are looking cloudy (which I heard is an indication of something bad). I haven't noticed any other symptoms so I don't know what's wrong with it. Is there something I should do?

Sounds like it is getting ready to shed. The eyes cloud up and the snake looks dull. A few days after the eyes clear up it will shed. They generally don't eat before shedding as it could cause problems with the shed.
Thanks. You can't imagine my relief when I saw two responses that confirmed the same thing. Nothing like having second opinions. If you haven't noticed, this is the first time she's shedding for me. ^__^'''
If it looks something like this, then it's normal.

Like he said, it's probably just about to shed.

OK... thanks guys. That's exactly how she looks like. And is it normal for them to get a little antsy about getting picked up when they shed? She's usually quite friendly.
Yeah. At that point they are half blind and so they can get a bit antsy. I usually avoid handling mine during that time. Also, I've read somewhere that it could cause some skin damage if you handle them just before or just after they shed their skin.

Oooo.... thanks for the warning. And yeah, I guess I'd be kinda jumpy too if I was half-blind and someone tries to grab me. I'll just leave it be until it sheds. Will keep you posted on how she fares.
OK... the eyes have cleared up. But she's still listless and lethargic. Is that normal?
It's normal.
My own is almost at that exact point, by the way. Its eyes cleared up yesterday. How's that for coincidence?
Woot... it just shed today and its back to its usual curious self. Other than being a little more sensitive, its looks very healthy. I'll avoid handling if for another day or two to let it settle in. Thanks for the info, y'all. ^__^
