Blind BP?

ptdnsr Mar 18, 2006 07:12 PM

Ok...to make a long story short - we received a young male normal a few months ago from a friend who hadn't taken very good care of it. Multiple layers of eyecaps and whatnot. Fast forward - we had been working on his eyecaps but somehow he managed to damage his eyes and we believe that both have ruptured. The left one has for sure as the scab over his eye partially came off today and the right one looks the same as the left did. He's been to the vets multiple times and goes back in Wednesday but I wanted to know if anyone had any instances of BP's surviving while blind. He has refused food lately but that doesn't surprise me due to the fact that we have to be stressing him out by putting his medication on him. As long as we can get him to eat, do you guys think he can live a nice pet life?

She still has eyes but no vision. She is over 5 feet long and feeds well on thawed rats. I am not sure how old she is as I received her as an adult. She was a rescue from a bad home and came to me with bites and a lost tail tip. She is a great pet and one of my favorites.
