Here is another small terrestrial snake

that mimics a tree viper. Xenodon werneri (bottom pic). It is a sorta cousin of hognose and ranges in central and south america. It eats toads, frogs, etc, and has quite a powerful venom for a rear fanged snake as there is one reported death from this species. The snake it mimics is Bothriopsis b. bilineatus (top photo) and it is quite interesting that a terrestrial snake is mimicking a tree viper.

...never heard of mimicking a freekn viper before..thats really cool & a gorgeous snake to boot...
but i betcha never saw a devilsnake before...

I think they were what we used to call road guarders back when I dealt with them in the '70's. Haven't seen any in quite awhile. Are there cb available thesse days?
