Phil, it was good having you stop by with your rio which I really think is a female. I would start throwing the wood to her and get enough size on her to breed next season, Mine the one that came from the same hatch as yours ate 2 weaned rats today and will eat again by wednesday or thursday, these guys are oppertunists in the wild and and in captivity and will grow faster with more prey items given. Feed twice a week and you will see results. I like to alter between rats and mice because they do differ in nutritional value so I cover the benifit of both by useing both of them. Hopefully if you stop by later this summer the place will be crawling with pilbara rock monitor hatchlings LOL.
