A Suriname boa photo from today...

Riobravoreptiles Mar 19, 2006 05:20 PM

.. this was born here in 2005 out of our Pokigron or Central Suriname redtails.
.

.
... generally, I'm an admirer of more free-form tail-saddles in Suriname redtails, but his perfectly pregressing caudal blotches are attractive. He is starting to show the color potential of that line. His mom looks very good to give another nice litter this year.
.
Good luck to everyone with their projects!

That boa is absolutely perfect. No serously what do you mean by that? This is the first time I've heard that term.Free form as in irregular or slightly abberant.I've seen wild caughts with PERFECT saddles and tail blotches.I'm asking for curiosities sake not trying to start anything. For example....

Hey, that's a pretty boa..
.
Both my snake and yours have excellent Suriname tail definition.. the saddles reach down well onto the sides or even onto the ventrals.. they don't just cap the body.. the color is great and so is the contrasting and outlining.. white spacing on the tail and more gold up the body. This picture shows a little of what I refer to as 'free form', I'm not talking about striping or an obvious aberrant look, only a departure from the regular spacing and relative size of the body dorsal saddles. Here's the pic:
.

.
It's not so easy to describe.. and I'm the last guy to say he's got the perfect boa or knows what a perfect boa should look like! .. what I'm looking for is more of an exotic, marbled tail appearance and something much less like a laddertail.. those are best displayed in BCI, or at least I think so.. Ok?
.
Thanks for your comments.

Gotcha,I guess I too LIKE the FREE FORM tail.I also like the more marbled shaped blotches and don't really go for the laddertail appearance. Thanks for the compliment.
