Question about making snake racks..

Reptile_man7mm Mar 19, 2006 07:08 PM

I was wondering what most of you use to construct your racks..?

Plywood..or prefinished(white)boards.

I was thinking of making me one. Enough to house at least 10-15 adult corns..prob use 38qt steralite boxes.. and then 20-30 smaller shoe box size for hatchlings.
Ive read several forums.. but no one seems to tell what they have used. And what would be the proper way to wire all the heattape up..? I know i would need a dimmer switch wired into the circuit.

thanks

Mike

go to Sean's site at Exotics By Nature......they have plans for a nice rack...I had a guy make 2 for me......

I don't have heat on them ....they are 2 x 2 and 1 x 4 wooden racks that hold the 34 inch boxes by the top lip........

they don't waste space.......they dry out a little fast for balls but you can add water all you want to them with cypress........

..........good for balls and adult corns have alot of room....
