Ive got 3 of them one is a new born baby born on sunday. Ive had one of them since i was in 5th grade. that was 17 years ago and he was full sized when I got him so it is probably around 18 or 19. The other one is a female and Ive had her for about 4 years. They have bred before but I didnt get to the babies in time before the crickets got to them. This time I was checking every day. 1 was still born and the other was a slug, the 3rd was fully formed and very healthy. They arent very demanding, they are easy to take care of and they live a long time. I think mine may be very old as far as ocellated skinks go. They like to burry them selves in the sand for days. Make sure you give them something to burrow in. they will feel much safer. they like to bask under a light also. Mine take meal worms crickets and ocasionaly i give them cat food or eggs.

Let me ask you if this is okay I think its what you described-
Sand bottom few inches
Uv incandescent bright light for basking and daytime heat .
Plan to use some driftwood just few pieces few flat rocks
Night heat going to use black light incandescent bulb.
Was thinking 3 in a 30 gallon long tank.
What do you think and what temps did you use for night temps ?
Thanks
