Field observations of indigos

If its not too much trouble for asking, can I ask everyone who has eggs in the cooker at the moment? My female is due to burst any day. Is this okay to post on this forum?

After getting a couple of posts deleted, I wrote the wrong header - this one is obviously breeding related.

Texan female has been more and more active over the past few nights, in and out of her nest box, sometimes with dirt in her mouth as though she has been rooting around. Today she is gaping a bit at the vent and the eggs have clearly dropped.

I hope she lays tonight, but we'll see.

She still in the nestbox this morning, but I can clearly see 3 chicken sized eggs that look good from what I can tell.

Yippee! Now back to waiting for the next step for 3 months or so...

It is easy to see why so many of us are bald.

Hope you recieve a large, healthy clutch of eggs...

Best of luck,

Jeff

Thanks man! I am so psyched. So far I have 15 "good" eggs and 1 that seems destined for the garbage. I think that's gonna be the total. That's a pretty nice clutch, isn't it?

That's a great looking clutch. Bet you just can't stop looking at them! ;0) Trust me, you will still be just as giddy whenever you discover a female in oviposition, even after many years.
Kind of makes you feel kind of like a kid at Christmas!

Best regards,

Jeff
