a couple hybrid pairings

kirkpatrick Mar 20, 2006 08:07 PM

These were my first attempts at creating hybrids. I breed the bannana cal king (het albino) to a pueblan/nelson (poss. het albino). First time I had to trick the male (cal king) to breed the female. They were locked up for hours. I wanted to supervise them to be sure no one got ate after the breeding but at 3 am I decided they would be ok and I went to sleep. Next morning both were fine. After the first time he will go for her immediatley now, no tricks required. The other pair was the male pueblan/nelson and an albino cal king. The male pueblan nelson would only try to breed the cal king when he could see the female pueblan/nelson. Once she was removed he lost interest. But once he bred her once no more tricks were required. They finished it only minutes if that, but I was told pueblans are fast and I did find a plug after the breeding so it looks good. I still have a couple other hybrid pairs to work on and I will post those when the pairs hook up.
