heating???

LizardSmoke Mar 20, 2006 10:32 PM

my friend use a florescent light and a heat light in the day for his corn snake. But at night he doesn't have any heat, nothing, no heat pad or night lamp. Is this bad or good, should he have some form of heat at night, his house gets down to 63f 65f at night? he's a beginner at cornsnakes so we need all the help we can get even about all other things that are needed to know too. thanx

Personally I think a night drop into the mid to upper 60's is fine.Nothing that they wouldnt normally go through in the wild.If he's worried tell him to get a 25 watt red bulb to turn on at night.

It is a good idea to have an optional heat source at all times. The snake should have an option. I am kind of in the same boat accept it is for my bp. His heat source has stopped heating accept for 1 spot about the size of a quarter.... his tank was 62 when I got home last night and that really scared me. That is not good for a bp.
