Nice snake. Where is Whitewater Canyon? Is that in Nor Cal? His coloration reminds me more of the northern Cal kings I've seen rather than the desert phase which are more extreme black and white, compared to that dark brown/cream color.

Hi,
White water canyon is in so.cal, close to Palm Springs. Its the desert. Most the cal.kings I've seen from there have more of a yellow than bright white. But I've seen pure cream/white with dark brown almost black at Verbenia, just a few miles away. They very, its also a natural intergrade of deseret meets caostal, but looks very much more desert. I've seen about 5-6 cal.kings at whitewater and they all looked a little different, not much but some more yellow than others for sure.
